With more than 30 years of successful teaching and conducting, Dr. Doke continues to serve as a clinician, guest conductor, string coach, and performance evaluator for schools and districts across the country. He has conducted honor orchestras throughout Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington State, and was director at the University of Georgia Summer Music Institute for several years. He currently serves as Educational Liaison of the Georgia Youth Symphony as well as Director of the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra Philharmonic.
As a clinician, Dr. Doke's research on student collaboration and alternative musical styles has led him to numerous presentations at workshops and clinics for music educators and their students nationwide. He has been a clinician at State Music Educators Conferences in Georgia and Tennesee, and the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) National Conferences in Utah, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Florida and Georgia. In 2002, he appeared live on CNN Headline News, discussing innovative string styles and the use of technology in string education.
Dr. Doke is a clinician for Alfred Music and continues to work as a performance adjudicator and as a string coach for numerous high schools and youth orchestras in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
